AKRAM: Journal of Islamic Studies applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process.

All submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated by the editor to assess their relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, academic quality, and compliance with the author guidelines. Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements are then sent to qualified reviewers with relevant expertise.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on their originality, methodological rigor, academic significance, clarity, and contribution to the field of Islamic Studies. Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor makes the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection.

Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers' comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
